The Thames Coromandel District Council, despite numerous requests to cease and desist spraying an eco - toxic weed killer, continued to do so, on a habitat of Mokomoko Skink (oligosoma moco). Under the Wildlife Act these skink are considered absolutely Protected! For more info click here

What can you do?
- Go to the Save The Waves website and lobby the Minister for the Environment to review the Consent process as administered by EW and TCDC, and in the space for personal comment add, “I also request that a full inquiry be called into this illegal and malicious destruction of a protected species, the Mokomoko Skink.”
